ERASMUS +

European Mobility
Mobility outside Europe

The ERASMUS programme is the European Commission programme dedicated, in particular, to higher education. It allows students, teachers and administrative staffs to undertake a mobility programme in a participating country. Thirty three countries take part in ERASMUS: the 28 countries of the European Union plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the Republic of Macedonia, and Turkey.

UMONS has been strongly committed to the ERASMUS programme since its creation in 1987. The ERASMUS programme was revised by the European Commission prior to the 2014-2015 academic year, and is now called ERASMUS +. As a result UMONS also completely revised its strategy, adapting it to the parameters of the new programme within the framework of the ERASMUS + Charter 2014-2020. This charter was adopted by UMONS and was validated by the European authorities in May, 2014.
