The Centre for Microscopy and Molecular Imaging (in short CMMI) saw the light of day thanks to the financial support from the European Union and the Walloon region (FEDER funds).

Benefiting from the support of Academy Wallonia-Brussels, the CMMI meets the wish of the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and the Université de Mons (UMONS) to join and complement outstanding equipment and skills in order to offer to the scientific community a platform of powerful integrated preclinic biomedical image processing.

The Centre for Microscopy and Molecular Imaging offers a very large range of instrumentations and modern methodologies extending from electronic microscopy to animal in vivo imagery. It offers industries and university laboratories high quality tools and services, as well as modules of education specific to the use of his equipment. 

This center currently in construction will be fully operational at the start of 2011.
