General description of the programme

The 60-credit master's degree programme in management provides solid training in management, enabling effective integration into the professional world.

Profile of the programme

The master’s programme in management offers graduates management training based on traditional courses (finance, marketing, human resources, tax and business law, etc.).

This curriculum includes 60 credits in one year distributed across a common core (thesis, human resources, finance, in-depth marketing, public finance and budget control, tax and business law, English and Dutch or Spanish) and one of three major options (finance, marketing, international business).

 

Key learning outcomes

After completing this curriculum, graduates will be able to:

  • join any organisation, be it commercial, industrial or neither, and take part in its management and development at the national or international level, working in finance, accounting, marketing, human resources, international business, environmental management, etc. or move to auditing or accounting
  • reason with the necessary rigour by applying knowledge to various fields of management
  • take into account production constraints when making management decisions
  • use decision support methods and tools
  • apply interdisciplinary skills: independence, rigour, group work, oral presentations, research, etc.
  • create their own business.

 

Occupational profiles of graduates

The 60-credit master’s degree in management does not necessarily lead to direct employability but gives full access to the 120-credit master's degree programme in management with one additional year of study.

Crossovers

This master's degree is especially appropriate for people who have a short-length higher education degree that was obtained either after receiving a one-year bachelor's degree or after passing a preparatory year. Some full-length higher education degrees also have direct access to this programme.

Access to further studies

The 60-credit master’s degree in management gives full access to the 120-credit master's degree in management in one additional year.
