The Faculty of Engineering of Mons belongs to the European network TIME (Top Industrial Managers for Europe). Within this framework, it has concluded agreements with several top engineering universities in Europe to award double degrees. These agreements enable carefully selected students to obtain double engineering degrees awarded by the Faculty of Engineering of UMONS and by the foreign institution of their choice. The student spends on average 2 academic years abroad. According to the terms of the TIME agreements, the overall length of studies should not be extended by more than one academic year.
Within the ERASMUS network, students have the possibility, as of the 3rd year, to study in a partner institution abroad or in Flanders during one semester or two depending on the institution of their choice and on their academic profile). These stays abroad are an undeniable enrichment for the student: active training in the language of the host country, broadening of their scientific, intellectual and cultural horizon, understanding of the stakes for the future… The UMONS academic authorities strongly recommend students participate in these exchange programmes.
Other exchanges are possible with Canada, the United States, Australia, Japan, Switzerland.
The International Office at UMONS is responsible for managing the administrative aspects of these exchanges.
