The Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of the University of Mons welcomed its first students in October 1973. There are already numerous doctors, chemists and biomedical scientists that can testify to a rigorous humanistic education.
The instructors of the Faculty are also researchers - mathematicians, physicists, chemists, biochemists, biologists, pharmacists or doctors – who provide easily accessible and high quality teaching. Small classes, generously proportioned auditoriums and laboratories and the accessibility of research facilities integrated into the Faculty infrastructures help guarantee excellence.
The Faculty's research teams are equipped with the most modern instruments and work in technologically advanced sectors. The quality of their work is recognised through the many national and international collaborations in which they take part.
