Entry Requirements for Advanced Master Degrees (2014-2015)

For admission onto an Advanced Master's Degree course, students must hold one of the following study credentials:

  • a Master’s degree of at least 120 credits in the same field;
  • a Master’s degree and certain supplementary conditions established by the university authorities with the approval of the examination board;
  • a similar degree to those mentioned above delivered under the same conditions by the Flemish Community of Belgium, the German Community of Belgium, or the Royal Military School;
  • a foreign university degree equivalent to those aformentioned, recognised by a European Directive or an international convention under the same conditions;
  • a foreign degree or other qualification attesting to the passing of a Master’s degree of at least 300 credits awarded by the Examining Board within a 5-year period, under the same conditions.

 Admission of Belgian and EU students

Before registering at UMONS, you must send your duly completed application form, dated and signed, together with all the required documents to the Registration Office. It will be examined by the appropriate board. If accepted, you will be notified by email.

Once accepted, you must go to the Registration Office between 21st June 2014 and 31st October 2014 to complete your registration.

If your application is not accepted, you will be notified by email.

Admission of non-EU students

Before registering at UMONS, you must send a duly completed application form, signed and dated, together with the official documents required by the Registration Office. Your application will be examined by the appropriate board.

You must also detail your financial arrangements (see below).

If your application is accepted, you will receive a letter of acceptance and you will be required to pay supplementary registration fees.

Once these supplementary fees have been received, you will be sent the documents required to apply for a visa.

If no visa is required for students from developed countries, supplementary registration fees will be due no later than the day of registration (payment by debit or credit card is possible).

Assimilated students must provide proof of assimilation on the day of registration. 

If your application is refused, you will be notified by email.
