Mons is a true college town: of its 92,000 residents, 12,000 are students in higher education – one out of eight residents!

With its seven Faculties and three Institutes, UMONS alone has around 5.000 students who attend classes on the different campuses that are conveniently located in downtown Mons. 

This student community is quite active and takes advantage of various student services that UMONS provides (housing, cafeterias, social service, libraries…). In almost every Faculty, student body associations hold multiple sports and cultural activities throughout the academic year – this enables students to combine their studies with enriching leisure activities.
