Engineering research is concentrated in five fields: Information and Telecommunications Technology, Materials, Energy, Biosystems and Natural and Technological Risk. Within these five fields, nearly 300 teachers, researchers and technicians are working on multidisciplinary topics that relate directly to the needs of our society and to technology issues confronting manufacturing industry.
From basic research via specialist PhD theses, to technology transfer, applied research and industrial scale-up, all the scientific components needed for technological innovation come together and enrich each other in each of the research fields.
