Language and Neurodegenerative Diseases

The language of people with neurodegenerative diseases (such as Alzheimer’s) is of major interest to both basic research (the cognitive understanding of the interactions involved) and applied research (the development of communication skills of patients and their relatives). In this context, the Institute, particularly within the GREMOTS European network, involving 15 research teams from Belgium, Canada, France and Switzerland, is developing a series of language assessments in French, specifically dedicated to the elderly with neurodegenerative diseases.
